![]() GREEN RIVER RAFTING TRIP DESCRIPTION Challenge the 1869 Route of Explorer John Wesley Powell on the Green River. Adrift Adventures offers a great family adventure exploring Lodore Canyon on the Green River. Begin rafting in Colorado and float through the beautiful canyons of Dinosaur National Monument, right into Utah. This 44 mile canyon offers incredible scenery, wildlife, hiking and indian rock art and ruins. Rapids are plentiful yet forgiving for families and children. You will have plenty of time to relax enjoy your new friends and family as you float leisurely through a land not often explored. Your professional guides will educate you about the areas geology, flora and fauna. Each afternoon land at a new riverside camp to explore your new surroundings. Relaxing and eating is on the agenda everyday. Your guides will set up a mobile kitchen at each new landing. Delicious and nutritious meals will be prepared for your group. This section of river is dam controlled by the Flaming Gorge Dam, so no matter what time of year you would like to explore this canyon you will experience great whitewater. No experience is required to take part in this expedition. Children must be at least 35 lbs. and seven years of age. Whether you are an experienced rafter or camper we can provide all necessary equipment and teach you eco-friendly camping techniques. Adrift Adventures offers small groups the opportunity to explore this canyon. The National Park Service limits the size of our trips to 25 people. Most Adrift Adventures groups are smaller, in 2008 group sizes averaged about 12 people with 4 guides. We can offer exclusive trips to your group.
